Creating Opportunities Together

Partnerships are at the heart of everything we do at the Huntington Children’s Museum. Many of the experiences our guests enjoy each week are made possible because organizations, businesses, and foundations choose to invest in our mission.

Coalfield Development helps bring Rampy’s Market Adventure to life. Community partners like the Huntington Museum of Art and Foundry Theater make KidsFest even more meaningful. Local businesses like Rocco’s and Edward Tucker Architects, along with supporters like the Pallottine Foundation and the Claude Benedum Foundation, help ensure that families throughout our region have a place to learn, play, and grow together.

These partnerships are easy to see because they’re public-facing. They’re the events, programs, and experiences that thousands of families enjoy each year. But one of our most meaningful partnerships happens quietly, behind the scenes.

For the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA through its Employment and Training Services Division. Through this program, our new friend Jennifer joins us at the museum twice each week alongside her job coach to build workplace skills in a supportive, real-world environment.

Jennifer helps keep our museum clean, organized, and welcoming for every family who walks through our doors. She’s dependable, hardworking, and has become an important part of our museum team. Each visit gives her the opportunity to practice new skills, build confidence, and prepare for future employment, all while making a genuine difference here at the museum.

At Huntington Children’s Museum, we believe in developing people. While our work focuses on helping children learn, grow, and discover their potential, that commitment extends beyond childhood. We believe strong communities are built by investing in people at every stage of life. By opening our doors to folks like Jennifer, we’re able to support opportunities that create confidence, independence, and meaningful work experience while also strengthening our own organization.

We’re grateful to Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA for trusting us as a training site and for the important work they do throughout our community. And we’re especially grateful for Jennifer. We look forward to watching her continue to grow, develop new skills, and achieve great things in the future.
