Huntington Children's Museum, 1700 Washington Avenue, Huntington, WV, WV, 25704, United States
Calendar:
Join us for Past, Present & Possible: Women in STEAM, a hands-on celebration of women who changed the world and the girls who will change it next. Throughout the Museum, guests will encounter living statues: actors from Alchemy Theatre portraying influential women scientists from across history who will come to life to share their stories, discoveries, and challenges. Children will also roll up their sleeves to explore scientific concepts through hands-on experiments led by Marshall University’s Women in Chem. By connecting past breakthroughs with present-day exploration, this event invites young learners—especially girls—to see science and technology careers not just as possible, but as theirs.
About KidsFest

From June 8-14, this week-long celebration will not only showcase existing community treasures but also create opportunities for new gems to emerge. KidsFest offers returning favorites such as the teddy bear clinic, MessFest, food tasting, and cardboard boat race. Additionally, 2026 will introduce many exciting new programs! KidsFest serves as a fundraiser for the Huntington Children’s Museum.
